It’d be a stretch to say that any Jordan Brand GS release could be the best from its model in a given year because of the huge discrepancy between those and mens full size runs, and especially in 2011, when the Air Jordan V Retro has made such a tremendous impact, it’d be near heresy to suggest a girl’s shoe tops them all. So starting from the proper perspective, though you might not even agree that these could tie for first in this AJ5-filled year, there’s little doubting the appeal of the Air Jordan 5 ‘Strawberry Splash’, especially in these new images. If pink didn’t have such a strong gender association, these could rank among the best uses of tonal accents on an Air Jordan Legacy model, but the Scarlet Fire sockiner and sharkstooth ensures that this model won’t get too many crossover sales from guys.
