To suggest that Nike made a major impact on the sneaker industry is the understatement of a lifetime, so we need to be specific when discussing the Swoosh’s influence over the years. One of Nike’s most recent contributions came in the past half-decade or so in the form of themed release ‘packs’ that set the whole scene to replicating ideas and stories across multiple pairs. One theme or look that’s become popular in recent years has been rugged, hiking boot-inspired fare, and even with Nike’s ACG offering a variety of killer designs, it’s still hard to imagine a classic model nailing their muse better than the Vans Sk8-Hi Camper Pack. These two new Sk8s are like hiking-boot-lite, their rich leather uppers and subtly ticked laces all at once rugged and yet considerably softer than something like Vans’ own Switchback. Click through to see more angles and pick up one or both of these from an Off the Wall retailer like Premier.
