Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a look at the upcoming Nike LeBron 9 ‘Scarface’, which revealed some interesting details on the inner lining as well as on the white upper shell. However, it’s been confirmed that these have no real influence from the Scarface film, although anything White/Black/Red would be readily attributed to Tony Montana and the iconic movie due to LeBron’s current affiliation with the city of Miami. What’s true about this LeBron 9 colorway is that the graphic art was designed by Alvaro Ilizarbe, aka Freegums, a local artist in Miami; it features an intricate detailing on the inner lining as well as the toe-box that is seen in Alvaro’s trademark style – a mosaic of imagery inspired by deities and the supernatural. On this LeBron 9, you can clearly some festive LeBron-centric symbolism, like the crown behind the tongue and the basketball.
