2011 was in one way or another a ‘career year’ for Ray Allen. His capturing of the NBA’s All-Time 3-Pt. Record was the perfect cap to a legendary career that is unlikely to be replicated for a long time. Ray Allen’s professionalism and devotion to the game of basketball is what makes him one of the greatest players to ever hit the hardwood, but credit Jordan Brand for tapping that potential when they brought him on as a Jordan Brand athlete. In celebration of Ray Allen’s record-breaking moment, Jordan Brand created this special edition colorway of the Air Jordan 2011; it features the now-familiar ‘Ray’ logo on the tongue with the magic number 2561 printed beneath. The mudguard also emphasizes the pressed leather technique by colorizing it in two different tones of gold and green.
