The Nike Free TR2 popped up out of nowhere as part of the Nike Training Sheild Collection, then again struck without warning in the form of a CR7 colorup for Cristiano Ronaldo. You can think of those big drops as something like the New York and Los Angeles premiers for a big movie that will open shortly after the turn of the year. That’s when we should expect to get more new Free TR2 colorways like this understated grey edition that gets a little extra juice from the red ridges on its grooved soles. Lightweight mesh and a super-flexible sole is about as close as you can get to training barefoot, and you’ll be able to see more images of these after the jump as we await the early 2012 release date. via Sneaker Freaker
