If there’s any sneaker company out there who can lay claim to the 80’s action-sports aesthetic it’s gotta be Vans. The aesthetic was of course sniffed out by Hollywood at the time, resulting in plenty of silver screen stories of youngsters beating the odds via totally gnarly tricks. One such film was Rad, which focused on a BMX bad boy named Cru determined to conquered the so-called Helltrack (It was 1986, give them a break). Vans calls back to the film with this new trio of the Vans Authentic, which features the logo hit from the film wrapped along the outsole.
