The Air Jordan Legacy is full of groundbreaking and wholly original designs that both shook and provided the foundation for sneakerhead culture, but did this year’s iteration take a cue from Nike SB? This is set to be a calendar full of multi-sized perforations as the Air Jordan 2012 blends traditional wingtip luxury with Flywire and other cutting edge tech and the Nike SB Team Edition 2 comes through with its first full year of releases. This is a model you could in turn suggest found its roots in the success of Vans models like the Wingtip Era and their del Barco series that pushed boat shoe sneakers to a critical mass, in turn channeled by the monster hit Zoom Stefan Janoski. Whether it’s the waxed canvas utilized above or any of the suede looks we’ve previewed here on Sneaker News, the TE2 is a far cry from its immediate success, so examine this pair in greater detail after the jump, then check back with us for the release date. via N-SB
