The Nike Air Flight One remained quietly in the Nike Basketball archives since 1995, until in 2011, it manifested itself in the Nike Zoom Rookie LWP – a hybrid model containing the physical and spiritual aspects of the Nike Air Flight One, Air Foamposite One, and Air Go LWP. For the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, Nike will introduce the classic model as part of the Nike Sportswear Space Exploration Collection – a special glow-in-the-dark edition inspired by intergalactic themes. Release alongside that high-energy rendition is the original colorway of the Air Flight One, donned in a White/Blue/Black make-up reminiscent of Penny Hardaway’s Orlando Magic uniforms and coinciding with the destination city of this year’s All-Star Game festivities.
