$90 million is what it cost for Nike to reel in LeBron James, so before the Air Zoom Generation debuted in late 2003, LeBron wore a diverse collection of sneakers during his first NBA pre-season prior to his regular season debut in Sacramento. The Air Jordan III, Air Jordan IX, Nike Ultramatic, and the Zoom Flight 2K3 are just some of what LeBron rotated during that short period, and it’s quite possible that the Air Raid was part of that group as well. Once the Nike LeBron line debuted with the AZG, there was no looking back to other models, but this PE, which features a similar White/Wine/Gold colorway with the L23 logo stamped on the insoles, would’ve been the perfect shoe for LeBron’s physical style of play – the Raid was in fact meant to be an outdoor streetball sneaker.
