There’s been quite a bit of talk about the colorways in which the Air Jordan IV’s signature eyelet wing has played a role over these past couple months. It started with initial reports that the ‘White Cement’ AJ4 Retro that just released would be rendered in a new grey shade, stretched into Spike Lee’s meeting with the POTUS with the ‘Bordeaux’ Jordan Spiz’ike, and recurred most recently during the ‘Knicks’/’Cavs’ discussion for the newest Air Jordan 4. The same can be said of this new pair of Spizikes, an obvious match to the New York color scheme that offers an equally strong connection to Clevland’s NBA team, especially their mid/late ’90s uniforms. If there’s anything we’ve learned from these other drops, it’s to focus on what really matters, and in the case of this pair, that’d be the Friday, February 24th release at Jordan Brand retailers like Social Status.
