A look at these promotional Air Jordan props and you’ll quickly realize where the ‘Hare’ nickname came to be. Back in the mid 90’s, Nike created a number of Air Jordan VII promo pairs to promote Michael Jordan’s ‘Space Jam’ movie, placing these funky sculptures at select Warner Bros. stores across the United States. The shoes were shaped to fit Bugs’ furry feet, but unlike the ‘Hare’ Jordan VII Bordeaux we showed you some time ago, these are solid molds that aren’t necessarily wearable (however, if you have feet shaped like Bugs’ feet, consult your physician). According to hiphopcaliber on NT, these samples were destined to be destroyed after the Space Jam promotional period was over, but he managed to purchase them from a former Warner Bros. store manager who kept them as a keepsake.
