David Beckham isn’t taking his shirt off. His adidas Originals by Originals capsule with UNDFTD’s James Bond seems to have cooled off a bit of late, but Becks remains a Three Stripes man, having appeared in the recent ClimaCool Seduction ad alongside adi-supporters Derrick Rose, Lionel Messi and Katy Perry. So even if Beckham to Bond isn’t as prolific a scoring duo, the most famous footballer on the planet still contributes to his sneaker endorser, perhaps in more ways than just marketing. The new adidas Originals Mountain Marathon reminds us that the B&B boys had already booted up the Trefoil-soled Marathon TR back in 2010, but you could argue that none of those drops have the flare exhibited by monochromatic suede pairs that come in your choice of vibrant blue or an orange somewhere in the rust/copper range.
