Three Stripes purists are always clamoring for French-built pairs, so the teamup between former Lakai rider Lucas Puig and adidas Skate seems like a match made in heaven. Lucas was rocking the adi-standby Skate before his Vintage Rod Lavers arrived in April, and judging from the design of his first signature sneaker, the Aussie tennis great’s iconic lowtop must’ve made a big impression. It’s clear that the adidas Skatebording Lucas Pro takes its cues from classic tennis styles like Laver’s, but none of those heritage models can compete with the SprintSkin upper that puts these in a sweet spot between featherweight and fully capable. Check out three colorways in greater detail after the jump, let us know which is best and stick with Sneaker News as we approach the July 2012 launch. via FNG
