The return of the Diamond Turf IIs was a treat. Bringing back the Pillars? Nice touch. But the finishing blow for Trainer/Turf fans just might be this Saturday’s release of the Nike Air Speed Turf Max – the 90’s Trainer tied to the great Dan Marino’s name and beloved as one of the best meant-for-hardcore-training shoes ever created. This OG colorway of Black/White-Voltage Yellow is certainly the crowd-pleaser with its true-to-form styling, so we can already make the assessment that 2012 is one of Nike’s best years of Retro – and there’s roughly five and a half months to go.
