‘Urban’ is gone from the latest round of Hussein Chalayan’s Puma lifestyle sneakers, but city dwellers will no doubt find the sophistication in these designs familiar. The Hussein Chalayan x Puma Urban Conflate still looks like Puma’s take on an adidas Campus silo, but the German Cat’s harder to find on this pair, which is covered with a print inspired by modern space vehicle heat shields. They’ve got a distinctive prismatic look (heavy on the yellows) without the potential overload from an all-metallic design, the kind of best-of-both-worlds mashup hinted by the name.
