Japan’s Edo period was marked by an isolationist foreign policy, a fact that gives you a sense of just how far ‘collaboration’ has come in a relatively short section of human history.  Japanese artists created distinctive styles during that period, including Ito Jakuchu, a Buddhist-inspired 18th century painter known for natural depictions and especially his birds.  In conjunction with Airside Nippon for Tokyo Designers Week 2012, Nike Harajuku in Tokyo is offering some spectacular Jakuchu-inspired chrysanthemum-print floral Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes  for one week only starting today, so have a closer look below and let us know how they compare to the impressive ‘Linen x Sakura’ Bespokes we just saw last week.
