Snakeskin is one of the more natural treatments you could expect from a Chinese New Year celebratory sneaker, so it’s popping up in a bunch of places as we approach 2013. One of the designs we’ve had an eye on for a while now is this duo of adidas Originals Superstar 80s covered in the scaly stuff, white and red pairs with a nice effect from the black/grey scales, Stripes and laces, along with a bit of Chinese jade on the dubrae and hangtag medallion. These are coming up on a January release with plenty of time to spare before the official start of the Year of the Snake, and there’s a new set of photos waiting after the jump below.
