Its lowtop version recently appropriated as the latest addition to adidas Skateboarding, one of Three Stripes classic court kicks returns to its roots with the above pictured release. The adidas Originals Americana Hi 88 (curious name for a shoe born in 1971, no?) looks the part with alternating blue and red stripes on a white mesh upper. A reminder that not all ’70s basketballers were vulc-soled (even if they did predominantly feature the same herringbone traction), these are up for a pre-order so you can get them in February from Hanon.
