Nike SB’s 2002 founding date marks a watershed moment in sneaker history. Swoosh Skateboarding helped to usher in the modern wave of sneakerhead culture with its high-profile, riot-inducing collaborations, and sneaker collecting as we know it hasn’t been the same since. It’s fitting, then, that not as many could quickly call to mind the fact that the low-key premium tier called Vans Vault debuted just a year later. A look back at a decade of Vault releases no shortage of guest stars either, guys like Marc Jacobs and Taka Hayashi having been pillars of the line over the years.
