The Nike SFB is one of Nike’s most emphatic ‘niche’ shoes. Outside of being worn by the members of our nation’s Armed Forces, the Special Forces Boot has been been appreciated by a select crowd of Nike-ites, with the quirky Tinker Hatfield himself drawing inspiration from the shoe and implementing it on the super high-top Air Jordan XX8. In a rather interesting development, Nike gives the SFB a lifestyle twang with the all new Nike Field General Free, which uses a Nike Free 5.0 base on a retro-styled upper that looks like a mix between the Air Force 1 High and Dynasty High. We suspect this Free-based lifestyle shoe to be one of these niche releases as well, so expect them only at select Nike Sportswear retailers this Saturday, as hanon in the UK will be one of the choice spots to have these available.
