Following up on last April’s US574s and the two-pack crafted for New York’s race, New Balance offers two more special releases commemorating the 2013 Boston Marathon. The New Balance 890v3 represents the side of cutting edge performance, opting for a bold purple design with orange, yellow and black accents that’s far from the traditionally subdued NB fare. The 990’s own third edition goes for a subtler approach, but will still stand out amongst its peers thanks to the plum suede and mesh upper and a speckled ENCAP heel. Let us know which style you prefer after seeing both in detail below, then grab yours at one of the Boston-area’s sneaker leaders, CNCPTS.
