Tinker Hatfield’s First Sneaker Design

Tinker Hatfield’s First Sneaker Design

First Ever Tinker Hatfield Shoe

What’s the oldest Tinker Hatfield Nike design you can name? We can imagine folks would respond to that with the likes of the Nike Air Max 1 and the Nike Air Trainer 1, but it turns out Tinker was actually doing some homebrew designing way before that. Shown here are the first shoes ever built by Tinker Hatfield, a 1980 design for his daughters. Even back then Tinker wasn’t focused on making your standard baby shoe, as the Swoosh adorned design featured a chunky toe to make the transition from crawling to walking an easier one. See the first ever Tinker Hatfield shoe below and let us know in the comments what you think.
