Chambray is a lightweight fabric named for its area of origin in Northern France. Polka Dots don’t have a direct connection to the 19th century bohemian dance, but did emerge around the same time. Their names are based on proximity, and today we see these two fashion staples come as close as physically possible on a couple of Vans California Eras. The ‘Chambray Polka’ Era is presented in two variations on the classic two-tone split, one with white dots on the midfoot and another with darker dots on its soft blue toe and heel.
