adidas Originals has issued a bunch of classic runners in recent years, but even with all that variety, this one was totally absent. Given its similarity to the ZX 800 as appropriated by David Beckham x James Bond, we didn’t totally go lacking, but the return of the adidas Originals ZX 850 is great news for fans of that elegant approach. A blue, red and white throwback reminds us of the era of origin while a couple of new colorways show the color awareness that’s made just about every retroed classic runner better in recent years.
