Nike Sportswear gets closer to completing the reissuance of Penny Hardaway’s NBA footwear legacy with the return of this 1994 style he shared in common with Scottie Pippen. The Nike Air Up sports a quintessentially early-mid ’90s look, this pre-Uptempo style maximizing the by then well established Air bubble look with a brash high contrast wavyness that foreshadowed the coming Air Penny line. A 20th anniversary Air Up retro will be the first, and while Pip and Penny PEs aren’t included, both Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic colorways make an appearance here today.
