JW Danklefs is no stranger to outfitting Nike Air Max 1 silhouettes with hip-hop tributes. Almost a year after we saw him go “Questlove” on the Nike Air Max 1, he has this time transferred the look of Mos Def and Talib Kweli’s now defunct duo Blackstar onto the silhouette. The shoes sport a colorway fading from red to yellow, with just a little bit of green mixed in along with some star-logo tongue tag imagery. Not to mention the two rappers’ likenesses actually show up right there on the insoles. Get all the angles on the Nike Air Max 1 “Black Star” below and tell us if you approve down in the comments.
