The word ‘Boro’ brings to mind the sections that make up a city, and though this newest Jack Purcell is indeed a pastiche of different regions, its name means something a little different. The Converse First String Jack Purcell ‘Boro’ in fact takes its name from a Japanese technique of recycling indigo cloths originated during a time when people needed their clothes to last as long as possible. The resulting JP patchwork has a unique character and should add even more as it ages, so take a look after the jump and look for these starting September 6th in Hong Kong at First String retailers.
