adidas Originals Basket Profi – Running White – St Dark Slate – University Red

Ever since 1971, the Three Stripes look alternating blue and red on a white leather base has been associated with the Americana.  It’s been carried over to several other adidas releases over the years, including this new release on a model that actually debuted two years before the Americana.  This adidas Originals Basket Profi Hi, then, is a straight up blast from the past, a combination of silhouette and colorway that takes us back to the days of Wilt Chamberlain and Lew Alcindor (the longtime adidas-backed baller who changed his name to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar).  Have a closer look after the jump, then grab a pair from Originals retailers like Titolo.
