It started with taking apart the very old pairs whose soles were already disintegrating, and over the past year or so, dissecting new sneaker releases is something we’ve seen with some regularity. Here we have one of Jordan Brand’s modern performance machines hacked apart for the sake of curiosity, as the Jordan Super.Fly 2 gets dissected in much the same way we saw from the Melo M9 back in spring. This Super Fly 2 has been broken down into its major constituents, which includes an inner bootie/tongue as encased in an upper that adds lockdown reinforcements and a heel counter. With the sole, there’s the outsole for traction, a midsole carrier and its Zoom Air cushion and the insoles with which your feet make contact. Click through to see the Super Fly 2’s full anatomy and let us know which sneaker you’d most like to see torn apart.
