11 Days of Nike LeBron: The Zoom LeBron II

Lebron Shoes Nike Zoom Lebron 2 01

Continuing our 11 Days of Nike LeBron series, we’re today examining the second shoe in King James’ history of on-court silhouettes. The Nike Zoom LeBron II showed a bit more commitment to the young recruit even on its box tag-this being the first shoe to actually have “LeBron” in its name. The sneaker in some ways reflected LeBron’s growing up in the league, as the Nike Zoom LeBron II was all of a sudden a much bulkier shoe than the previous iteration-gaining three ounces in total weight and this time featuring a strapped-up design. The extra heft coincided with a bigger, better Bron, one who was becoming more and more comfortable in league.

The sneaker, debuting back in November of 2004, came at a time when the number of overall colorways for signature offerings was still pretty restrained. The proper version of the shoe saw just four models released stateside, with an extra two tacked on via the Low variation. Of course there were plenty more tough to track down pairs that helped the shoe out-amongst them the Asia-only “Chamber of Fear” duo and the friends and family “Dunkman” that established a long-standing theme for James’s sneakers with its embroidered silhouette and grey/neon combo. See below for a couple of the hardest hitting pairs of the Nike Zoom LeBron II and stick with Sneaker News for daily updates in the 11 Days of Nike LeBron series leading up to 11/11
