You might not even think of it as intellectual property when you use it as a txt emoticon, but The Smiley Company behind that ubiquitous happy yellow face is one of the top licensed global brands.  With $162MM/year in revenues and a shop in London, it was a matter of time before the symbol showed up in a sneaker collaboration.  The Smiley x Pony M-100 pack gives us a couple of hightops with the happy face on their tongues, black or white colorways with sunshine yellow hits on the top eyelets and ventilation ports.  Look for these at select retailers later this month and let us know if you’re optimistic about buying a pair.
