The first pair from the second generation of Nike Basketball/Sportswear EXT releases is also Kevin Durant’s first such release. The Nike KD 6 EXT QS ‘Gum’, then, is one heckuva debut, with the lowtop KD 6 having been transformed from Hyperfuse performance machine into a visually pleasing casual-first affair. This one has workboot influences and was even called the ‘Wheat’ KD 6 for a good while before it became clear that the upper material also reflects the kind of golden brown rubber that we associate with classic soles.
