The usage of gold in sneaker releases is one that we’re used to seeing linked up with specific achievements like a gold medal at the Olympics or a championship season. Whether or not that’s the case with this Reebok Rail isn’t quite clear, but for what it’s worth Glenn Robinson did sneak in a ring before exiting the league (He was an NBA Champion during the 2005 season with the Spurs). Then again, maybe it’s a throwback to his Purdue NCAA days.
