Etonics are gearing up for a comeback – they’ve got Hakeem Olajuwon back on board with the brand and they’re planning to revive some of his 1980s models that might be lost on the younger generation of footwear enthusiasts. First up with be the Akeem the Dream model that will be coming back in three colorways that line up with his longtime Rockets uniform. Hopefully the brand will go the Ewing Athletics route and dream up some new flavors as well, but there’s nothing in the way of that just yet. Continue reading to see some more images from their 2014 return, as well as a vintage commercial for comparison purpose, and look for these Etonics to show up in limited quantities beginning in June.
