What is it exactly that’s so elite about the New Balance Elite Edition series? That’s never really been communicated officially, but the sneakers included have pushed the boundaries a bit on materials so maybe that’s the qualifier. The New Balance MT580 Elite Edition seen here for example features a sort of jacquard, woven look for the toebox and collar. Mind you they’re not going full-on weave like a Flyknit or a Primeknit, but rather just upgrading a classic NB silhouette with the textile look. The sneakers mark a milestone for the brand as the first Elite Edition set for women.
