The Nike LeBron 7 was a huge departure from the rest of the LeBron line. Designer Jason Petrie completely overhauled the look by giving such a physically demanding athlete as King James the support of a 360 Air Max unit (the first time a LeBron shoe saw this feature) while blessing the upper with a Dynamic Flywire fit. Yet, not all of the pairs were created equal as flywire technology was abandoned in alternates such as the “Red Carpet” Nike Air Max LeBron 7 in which a premium woven construction appeared. Apparently there were more pairs planned then the brief two that arrived at retailers as this all black pair demonstrates, featuring an NSW like suede on the toebox instead of patent leather.
