We’re starting a monthly spotlight on these lower-priced gems, giving you ten great options to fill out your collection with pure quality without the big prices.
To be completely honest, filling out this list of 10 sneakers priced under a C-note wasn’t an easy task. But there are, of course, some staples in this price range, the Roshe Run and the ZX Flux to name a couple, but we want to introduce you to some forgotten classics and even some new offerings that have sadly gone overlooked. Need a pair to ball in? The Zoom Run The One, at $100, might be the best option out there at this price-point. It’s packed with all the heralded innovation from Nike, and if you’re a fan of the low-cut basketball shoe, the Run The One is the one for you. Peep the medial side above and you’ll see that Nike pulled no punches when creating this shoe. What’s crazy is that the sneaker is actually on sale at Nike.com.
adidas ZX Flux Photo Print – $90
The ZX Flux continues its massive push in 2014 with a release of yet another amazing Photo Print pack. Catch these at select adidas retailers now, or straight from the source.
Saucony Grid 9000 “Spice Collection” – $100
The Grid 9000 gets savory with the Spice Collection, which features the popular model in four different suede-built colorways. You’d be hard pressed to fine a colorway you’re not vibing with. Get a pair now at select Saucony retailers like now.
Nike Air Huarache Black/Grey – $100
The popular of Huaraches has far exceeded expectations, so be glad that Nike isn’t shy about releases. You’ll catch these neoprene runners at almost any store, but we’re liking this black/grey pair that’s in stock at shops and on eBay.
Vans Era Leather – $65
If you don’t have a pair of Vans in your collection yet, then get to work. These have always been available at cheap prices, but if you’re looking for something a bit more luxurious without breaking the bank, peep the Leather Eras available in two colorways for $65 a pop. Available now Vans DQM.
Brooks Chariot – $90
Brooks has quietly returned with their Retro archive, but their loudest boom have been with their collaboration Concepts. If you’re looking to rock simpler colorways built with some fine materials, the Chariot is available in GR form for $90 at Packer Shoes.
Nike Roshe Run Suede – $85
The Roshe has been the catalyst for the big-boy brands exploring less expensive alternatives. These shoes, while devoid of any type of innovation, don’t lack at all in terms of comfort, and these recent pairs built with suede should offer more than the usual amount of protection against the elements. New Balance 574 “Stealth” – $80
The 574, another staple in the New Balance legacy, is back with this tonal black form. It answers a trend while keeping things classic. $80 is all it will run you at KITH.
Nike SB Blazer Low GT – $80
Grant Taylor is one of the most respected skaters on the planet, and although Nike isn’t gracing him with a signature shoe, he’s getting his personal logo placed on two clean colorways of the Blazer Low. These release in the coming weekends this month.
Converse Jack Purcell “Split Tongue”
Converse is another brand that has always thrived in this low-budget category. What’s more impressive is that their higher-end offerings, like this sick set of Purcells with split tongues, still manages to swim below our limit of $100. KITH has two colorways now.
