When sneakers tell great stories value is undeniably added far beyond any dollar amount. The central narrative surrounding the Nike Air Foamposite Pro has always dated back to Penny Hardaway and his accomplishments both on and off the court, yet two years ago when the “Gym Green” foams released there were rumors that the shoe was crafted in tribute to the Olympic Games. Although not confirmed at the time, that notion seems much easier to swallow today thanks to this unreleased USA 2012 sample. With “USA” stitched at the heel, this dark red pair highlights patriotic inspiration for the games that took place at the last Games. Further, with many yearning for the Foamposites of old to return, a look at this unearthed pair is poetic justice of sorts, in hopes that simplicity of this kind re-emerges soon.
