How often have we seen the Yohji Yamamoto helmed Y-3 aesthetic feature premium materials then camouflaged by a dominant all-black? The imprint’s latest release deviates from the norm though, as some much needed color enters Y-3’s lexicon for Spring 2015. The adidas Y-3 Zip returns with a loud color-blocking consisting of a premium orange leather on the toebox followed by baby blue suede on the mid-section and pink on the heel. The chrome zipper is hidden underneath a more traditional white lacing system while the ZX reminiscent midsole is color blocked in sections to match the upper.
