Nike was the first brand to introduce the idea of a cross-sport training silhouette with their classic Air Trainer series, but since then athletes have changed and their need for a silhouette to add support for all-purpose conditioning has left a void wide-open for a brand to fill. The likes of Reebok have taken the task of benefitting from CrossFit as serious as anyone, and now the Swoosh is getting involved with a shoe aimed exclusively at Metabolic Conditioning in the MetCon. The Nike MetCon launches April 1st in three new colorways featuring a construction with minimal heel to toe drop off for stability if you choose to lift in this pair. Natural Motion inspired flex-grooves add flexibility to the ride and the middle of the shoe features unique grooves for protection when rope-climbing. Check out more official photos of the latest batch of the Nike MetCon 1 and let us know if you’ve had a chance to try out Nike’s new trainer in the comments.
