Nike Kyrie 1 in Australia’s National Team Colors

Nike Kyrie 1 in Australia’s National Team Colors

new-kyrie-1-australia-reference-01

For someone who was just voted as USA Basketball’s Male Athlete of the Year, Kyrie‘s Nike signature line sure reps Australia rather hard. After the wild styling of the Venus Flytrap inspired colorway, here we see the Nike Kyrie 1 return in a look that matches Australia’s national team colors. With a yellow mesh base, accents of a light green and navy hit throughout Kyrie’s debut model in an homage to his homeland’s hardwood unis. Although Kyrie was born in Melbourne, Australia (his dad was there playing professional basketball) he spent most of his youth growing up in New Jersey and subsequently represents America in the Olympics and FIBA. Do you think all of the Australian references are a bit much given that Irving left when he was two? Check out more of the latest Kyrie 1 look after the break.
