Jordan Brand surprised everyone when they brought back the OG Spiz’ike in a limited run last August. Now the brand returns with the Spike Lee inspired hybrid in a totally new look for this “Turquoise Blue” Jordan Spiz’ike, slated to release May 16th. The shoe has always been privy to nontraditional Jordan colors, but here the Turquoise base almost hints at a North Carolina origin as it pairs well with the Midnight navy found on the unique print on the toecap and heel. Infrared 23 plays a roll here too, as JB continues to add some speckling, necessary or not, to the Air Jordan 3 outsole. $175 is a hefty price to pay especially considering the piece-meal construction of the Spiz’ike, but given the history of Spike’s relationship with Jordan Brand and the once storied nature of the silhouette, will you be picking up a pair?
