The Air Jordan 5 “Hornets” is headed to retailers on May 2nd, 2015 for $190. The Air Jordan 5 is seeing a renaissance in a number of Retro+ and brand new colorways right before summer starts. After bringing the Air Jordan 5 “White/Metallic Silver” pair back from the early aughts, here we see another Carolina reference for the brand. This look manages to balance both the Hornets and Tar Heels motifs in an all-in-one that would be appropriate for either squad. While lacking any of Charlotte’s purple hue, the Turquoise bottom does match the Hornets recent rebrand while a Midnight Navy upper is more UNC in origin.
