Jay-Z is currently taking some flak for the underwhelming launch of the new Tidal music streaming service, and things may have just gotten even more difficult for Hov thanks to adidas teaming up with Spotify for adidas Go. The three stripes’ latest mobile fitness application utilizes the built-in accelerometer on an iPhone to curate a runner’s favorite music, matching the beats per minute of a song to the intensity of the coinciding workout in real time. Now runners can explore new music on the go with effortless ease instead of worrying about curating a playlist beforehand – but good luck finding any Jay-Z, Beyonce, or any other song from an artist that backs the rival Tidal service. There was some fear that the Spotifys of the world would have an uphill battle against them with big draws pledging their allegiance, but it’s clear that their future is safe with partnerships with multi-billion dollar brands. If you have an iPhone 4S or later, you can download the adidas Go app today, and you’ll even be gifted a free 7-Day Spotify Premium trial.
