Complex’s growing series of sneaker shopping with known celebrities is certainly an educational platform. Today’s latest feature places the media giant’s Joe La Puma with an OG of the sneaker/celebrity crossover in Fat Joe, whose footwork has been well-documented for over a decade. He’s no longer licking the bottoms of fresh Air Force 1s, but he’s still aiming for shock value because his latest story is pretty incredible. During his three-month stint in prison, Fat Joe was the only inmate wearing Jordans – specifically, Jordan slides aka slippers. Unfortunately even Joe didn’t have the pull to get away with them because they were confiscated with a threat inside solitary confinement.
