Now that collecting kicks has not become a topic of mainstream interest, big news outlets are getting some sweet access into the personal footwear stashes of pro athletes and celebrities alike. Pam Oliver of 60 Minutes Sports got the first-hand tour from C.C. Sabathia, a long-time Jordan athlete whose collection surpasses the six-figure mark in value and has a sneaker storage area that includes a living room and full kitchen. Also featured in tomorrow’s key episode is an exploration of the culture through the Sneaker Con lens, where attendees are willing to spend thousands upon thousands to acquire the rarest of gems. Catch this special sneaker-centric episode on 60 Minutes Sports on Showtime tomorrow at 9PM EST.
