The success of the sneaker custom industry can be credited to a select number of individuals who set the bar by pumping out some original and finely crafted concepts. Jake Ferrato, or better known in our circles as JBF, made his own calling card by rebuilding Air Jordan retros with lux leathers (with a specialty in python), but he’s put that product on the backburner for something a lot more “custom”. In fact, JBF’s latest product is a sneaker entirely made from scratch; the silhouette is his own creation, although there is some clear inspiration from iconic models of the past, but the true prize here is the outstanding materials and construction methods. You’ll find vegetable tanned leather on the entire upper, dove-colored suede on the lining, cork insoles, and his ++ logo hand-painted on the tongue. These will be up for sale exclusively on JBF Customs online shop tomorrow at 1PM EST, with an MSRP of $1,000.
