This holiday season, Jordan Brand will be breaking the normal mold for Air Jordan 11 Retro releases with this “72-10” colorway. ‘Inspired by the most historic season led by the greatest player ever’ is scribed on the inner tongue tag, and that’s pretty much all you need to know about the back-story regarding this pair. The 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls set the record for most wins in a single season at 72 and then coasted through the playoffs to take home a title in convincing and dominant fashion. This Air Jordan 11 “72-10” will set a record in its own right, as the pair will be releasing with a premium price tag of $220.
In true remastered form, the Air Jordan XI “72-10” ditches the normal cordura upper for a premium, buttery black leather. The Jumpman logo is also upgraded from the normal stitching for a metallic red pendant, so there’s no funny business regarding embroidered here. Traditionalists may be up in arms about Jordan Brand deciding against using an actual original colorway for the remastered process, but this Air Jordan XI will also sport the signature patent leather with an updated iridescent overlay.
