Asics Welcomes Gel Lyte Speed Collabs With UBIQ’s “Cool Breeze”

UBIQ and Asics have collaborated before, but this summer the two brands wanted to do something fairly special and original, and they’ve done just that by bringing back the oft-forgotten Asics Gel Lyte Speed. The archival running model from Asics has been overshadowed by its other running brethren like the Asics Gel Lyte III and Asics Gel Lyte V, but with a split tongue construction matching the former, this pair should catch on in no time at all. It helps that Philadelphia’s own UBIQ is lending a hand with the refreshing “Cool Breeze” motif, as the pair is full of aqua, sky blue, and navy shades in honor of the clear blue skies and cool beach waters of summer. The “Cool Breeze” Asics Gel Lyte Speed by UBIQ will arrive both online and in-store this Saturday, July 18th for $140. More official images below.
