Nike Commemorates One Of The First Viral YouTube Videos With A Special Ronaldinho Release

Nike Viral Soccer Video Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary New Tiempo 01

As fickle as American soccer fans are, most will remember Nike’s awesome viral video featuring Ronaldinho’s infamous “Crossbar” trick in which the soccer superstar juggled the ball for about a minute and half and continuously kicked the ball at the goal’s crossbar from 30 yards out. The feat would’ve been legendary had it not been for some tricky CGI, and the video stands out as noteworthy because it was the first video to ever hit a million views on YouTube. Ah, the simple times. The pair given to Ronaldhinho in the clip, the Nike Tiempo Legend “Touch of Gold” is now celebrating a decade anniversary (hard to believe right?) so Nike is bringing the premium aesthetic back in an incredibly limited release. The soccer cleat utilizes a quilted upper and pristine metallic gold accents on the footbed bottom and Swoosh. Only 3,000 pairs were made, so be sure to grab your size as quickly as possible once this special edition Tiempo hits Nike retailers on September 2nd. Check out the video below, as well as a comparison of 2005’s version to the upcoming retro.
